The South Public School Hosts Grand Annual Event ‘Desh Ki Dhun’

Nagpur, Dec 2: The South Public School celebrated its annual day, Desh Ki Dhun, with grandeur and cultural vibrancies at the Suresh Bhatt Auditorium on December 2, 2024. The event witnessed an inspiring address by Nagpur District Police Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Singal, who encouraged students to adopt the role of “young police officers” to reduce societal crimes and accidents

“Children, become ‘Police Mitra’ (Police Friends) and contribute to building a safer society,” he urged. Presiding over the event as the Chief Guest, Col Manish Kinhikar (Rtd) commended the school for its dedication to holistic education.
Dr. Mrunalini Dasture, the school’s Principal, presented a detailed account of the school’s achievements for the year, while Chairman Shri Deaven Dasture delivered the opening remarks.

A highlight of the event was the screening of a video showcasing inspirational messages from the school’s alumni, who have excelled in fields such as ISRO, NASA, medicine, beauty pageants, accounting, environmental initiatives, and industry leadership. With the backdrop of India hosting the G20 Summit, the programme creatively integrated themes showcasing Indian culture to foreign dignitaries. The event began with a mesmerizing performance based on Raag Jay Jaywanti. Students from Grades VI to X enthralled the audience with captivating presentations of Bharatanatyam, Kathak, tribal dances, Kantara, Powadas, and other diverse art forms.

Chairman Shri Deaven Dasture, Principal Dr. Mrunalini Dasture, Vice-Principal Shri Mangesh Chinewar, along with coordinators Manisha Salunke, Jayashree Deshmukh, Meenal Tandaiya, commended the tireless efforts of all teachers and students for the programme’s success.

This vibrant celebration was not just an annual event but a reflection of the school’s commitment to academic excellence and cultural enrichment.
